Could someone on here please help reassure me that we are going to use some sort of smart rotation. Where wingers rotate with wingers (Walcott, Perez, Ox etc) and midfielders rotate with mids (Cazorla, Ramsey, Elneny etc) , and we are not going to leave all those wingers on the bench and play Ramsay over on the wing.

I don't think we should be rotating full stop, Leicester didn't rotate last season or Chelsea the season before, rotation makes for a happy squad picking the best available 11 week in week out makes for a successful team and club.
Play well play every week play badly lose your place, that a formula that's proved successful ever since I've been watching the game.

{Ed025's Note - im with you G62..

Good answer G62.

Imagine telling Southall and Radcliffe or Henry and Bergkamp or Cantona and Giggs or Dalglish and Souness they needed to take their turn so all could be happy Ed025 mate :-) the Everton Arsenal Utd and Liverpool trothy cabinets would look very different today with that approach back then mate.

{Ed025's Note - liverpool won the league with 14 players playing i think G62, as you say rotate them if they play poorly not if they are doing well, continuity is a recipe for success in any walk of life and if you get dropped when you are playing well then that can only breed resentment..im with you all the way on this one mate..

62 - agree with you. Only rotate if makes sense from an injury perspective or tactics

For me - Rambo can play on the right and offer late runs, an engine etc in certain games. I look at the role Parlour and Freddie played. Why not Rambo?

I think they can rotate - the best should should play the most but a little rest and protection from injuries helps, no one gets tired/ jaded and a little freshness with energy from the bench doesn't hurt IMO. I am not talking communism and equality but smart rotation. And if I had a Bergkamp or Henry they would not be rested - nor would Sanchez or Ozil get as much as some others.

Bigger point is keeping a bunch of wingers on the bench while Ramsey takes their spot.

Whether or not continuity and consistency can win you the league is pretty academic in this context: it's Arsenal and some kind of rotation - most likely forced - will be necessary, as injuries WILL happen.

The wingers mentioned are all presently unproven premier league challanging players, Aaron is much much further ahead in terms of proven performances as is Caz who can offer much more dependability too.
Ox needs to kick on this season and take any chances he gets big time, Theo I'm not sure if there's any more to find out about him ( hope there is but at 27? ) Perez? Full stop.

Rambo sucks out wide. Wenger just put him there to "accomodate him". We need to be deadly on both sides otherwise we will be predictable with all our attacks coming from Sanchez wing.

Rue definitely.
