If we wanted to be title contenders we should have made More signings, i know that's not something we do or find easy for that matter as we don't spend anything but I'm happy with who we signed. Despite us being top 4 every year and realistically we are title contenders since we are always in that group of teams but we don't really have the quality to win the league. We have good players in our squad by to win the pl we need excellent players. We play really well as a team but it's just the quality of other teams such as the 2 Manchester clubs that prevent us from winning the league. To be fair Chelsea are contenders for definate. It kills me to say this but Chelsea are way better than us. They had an awful season but added in players they needed rather than what they wanted ( by this I mean adding in a solid all round cm in Kante rather than a world class player like james Rodriguez) but they probably won't get any recognition as they aren't as big as the Manchester clubs after this window. But it will be those 3 in the title race this year we should focus on top 4. I know I might get a lot of hate for this but it's just the truth and is what pretty much everyone is thinking. To win the pl you have to either play outstandingly as a team like Leicester and Chelsea or bring in world class players like United and city. We needed a striker. Wenger brought a striker. But since we don't play together as wel as other teams we should have spent money on a better striker rather than someone who had 1 good season in a league where there is pretty much only 3/ 4 good teams. I'm not putting anything against Perez I think he's great br not quite at the level which is needed for a title in england.

To say we don't play well together is not justified. We created more goal scoring opportunities than any other team last year. It's the final shot that's been missing. So teamwork and chemistry is there but that individual striker finishing begs to be improved. Which is not to say that responsibility falls only on the center forward. Also you'd be partially justified in saying we don't defend that great as a team sometimes. Especially when. We try to sit too deep.

Chelsea are much better than us and title contenders?
Why?
They were pants last season and have added Kante (absolute quality) and Batshuayi (hit and miss) .
They are poor at the back, JT and Ivanovic are on their last legs.
They will improve on last season but will not finish above us.
I don't even think they will get in top 4.

Plus Spurs I have to admit are playing a nice brand of football, but let's be honest they are in the running for 5 or 6 in the league and we are trying for 1, 2 or 3 - so basically we are not in the same competition. Still like the Spurs - they are a nice little team.

Realistically Chelsea are better than us. In their awful season last year they only beat 2 clubs twice, Aston villa and Arsenal!

And I hate them but they have a perfect win ratio so far this year and look to be a dangerous side under conte.
