well it looks like Wenger is finally addressing the problem areas we've all been craving for.
It's exciting to see Arsenal in advanced talks with players flashing in yellow but it's the players that (for me) don't excite. Mustafi yes he will be a good addition (although Dragovic for €18m might of been the deal to go for)
For me our main priority should have been a striker first, secondly a CB and the rest would be a bonus, why on earth Wenger has spent most of our budget on the lesser areas is beyond me, now (it looks like) we're on the verge of signing a bang average striker (ozil and sanchez must be licking there lips, (rolls eyes) )
I don't mean to get on the back of a new signing (if it happens) I just think it's not ambitious enough. Lacazette was there for the taking. We could of had lacazette and Dragovic for a similar price.
Oh well, I'm still so glad that we look to be adding to our already talented squad, it's nice to see us finally doing some business.

As regular posters I really respect your opinion. So I will play Devil's advocate. Lacazette's goal plus assist ratio wasn't as good as Perez's last year. He got 21 goals and and 3 assists in the domestic league and cup, Perez got 19 goals and 11 assists in Spain with a lesser team. Mustafi has one of the best defensive incecption records in the world and is a German national. Dragovic has an injury issue with his knee, so he would struggle in the premiership with the crunching tackles. These buys are based on stats and their current condition to start immediatley.

Even with all the improvements the teams around us have made? Utd and Chelsea aren't going to have another season like last year? Even with our new signings I fear it will be the 4th place trophy for us again.
