Just reading a post from 62 about good times as an Arsenal fan, for me the night at Anfield and 'that' goal will be with me forever.

I remember getting back to Banbury at 08:00 in the morning after being totally wrecked along with many other fans, that night in Liverpool was truly amazing. We weren't given a chance.

Agree1 Disagree0

Best moment ever as an arsenal fan.

I agree mate, it was just incredible, to score so late on was amazing . Thomas missed a chance a bit earlier, I thought that was that until seconds from the end.

What an exciting end to the season.

George Graham should have a statue outside the Emirates

I know he took a bung, but they were all at it

They all talk about Wenger, but it was his back 5 that put arsene on the right track

Georgie gave us s European trophy, 2 league titles and a cup double

He was also a double winner in 71

I will never forget what he done for the club

There's only one Stroller.

My best moment has got to be bergkamps goal v Newcastle.

Freddie and Pires on the wings for me.

Adams wonder goal against Everton in 98 for me, amazing elation! Or for something a little more recent, Fabregas' solo goal from the kick off against the spuds.

He also gave us John Jensen, tried to get Limpars to defend, David Hillier, Andy Linighan (spellings) . Some of the worst football I have seen and was a tyrant. The cup finals against Sheffield Wednesday and the Euro cup won by a Smudger flick on were tough to watch. I was there at Wembley.

He also did a lot for the club - absolutely but let's look at the past properly.

Hopefully you remember Wenger so fondly as he did so much more and times were good. Invincibles were awesome.

We were talking about the George graham era

Nothing to do with wengers years.

FA Cup win against Utd with Alan Sunderland scoring the winner having Utd pull level
Also, realising how lucky I was seeing Henry play.

Sy4 I will remember the first 10 years of wengers reign

After that he's done nothing.

SY4

I don'tthink know what football you've been watching the last 4 years, it hasn't been good.

I didn't post my comment to compare anyone I was just saying my best moment supporting Arsenal BUT let's all be honest, without the back 5 and Mers, Platt, Parlour etc Wenger wouldn't have done what he did in the early years .

But that's another debate.

So, in the closing years of GG's reign when Arsenal scored the lowest number of goals in the league (40) or less than 60 goals per season near the end after exiting the European cup in the very early stages and knocked out of FA Cup by Wrexham (lowest team in football league) - take those glasses off

Wenger benefited from GG's side - yes.

He transformed a side that were low scoring and boring into league winners. Bruce helped him for sure with DB10. But credit to Wenger he transformed it and he built the invincibles.

I hear the reply - the invincibles contained a GG defender. 1 player out of the squad, that's all.

I add this negative post about GG because the people praising him forget the bad pieces but pick on every bad point on Wenger.

GG does deserve a lot of recognition but don't kid yourself about the football he played or that every season was successful -> plenty low low points, plenty crap signings, plentiful to moan about but save that for Wenger as he's an easy target.
