Ok so it looks very much like we are going as we are again this season.
We've debated disagreed and dived ourselves into Arsene in Arsene out, positive and negative plus we've gone from Vardy to Higuain to Will Grigg but now it all comes down to we've got what we got and all the complaining ain't going to change things now.
So how do we somehow go from the 71pt also rans of last season to somehow becoming 80+ point serious contenders for the first time in years with what we have?
How do we conceede less than last season and score more with virtually the same squad + Xhaka?

When Wengers says things like, "We are on the alert" and "We have plenty of players" along with reiterating he spends the cash like his own it's pretty clear he has no targets and whilst countless fans will be sitting up with Jim White, Arsene will be at home watching re runs of the Invincibles. 😉.

The only way is by having NO injuries, and that already can't happen.
I've always said our first 14 / 15 players are as good as anyone's, it's the rest that's the problem.

I think Defensivly we will be a little better with the addition Xkaka alongside Elneney or Le Coq for me to give better protections, obviously CB purchase is needed.
A consistent reliable goal scorer is still the issue for me. Giroud misses way more chances that he scores, Sanchez not a naturel CF drifts too much around and Walcott good finisher generally but lacks confidence atm and just not physical enough to lead the line. Wellbeck crocked and as with Giroud can't really be relied on anyway. Hell our most reliable in front of goal could be Akpom to be honest.

We are coming to a couple of days before the start of the season and we haven't sorted a striker out and we didn't get in an experienced center back. Why did we honestly think it would be anything but. Dismal planning.

Simple answer is we don't, we're hamstrung by Weaver and the board and we will not win a league of even seriously challenge for one while they're there.

I think weaver wants sacking and get harry rednapp, that will guarantee at least 5 signings. Ok we might get adebayor, kabull, defoe, kranchar and kanu, but we are all getting desperate and at least he will be on his phone and on sky on the last day of the window.
