According to some Algerian sites and news sources mahrez is close to joining us for 37m. Fingers crossed!

Whether he is close or not, they did quote a "reliable" british journalist, who remained nameless.

We can all do that Steve . come on mate :)

If you were him would you come to us? Genuine question, If so why?
I'm sure he has lots of options available to him and people willing to pay the same wages as us, he has champions league football at liecester and even if he thinks they were a one season wonder and decides to leave why choose Arsenal?

I wonder the same thing G62.
I mean, I hope he'd choose us, maybe Arsene still has some of that charm he used to have for players like him.

I think the only advantage we have is that he's basically a guaranteed starter for us if he joins.

Chelsea have Cuadrado, Pedro, Oscar, Hazard, Kennedy who can all play wide and as far as I'm aware (with my limited, limited, oh, so limited knowledge) they're the one team who'd really go for him along with us right now.

If he signs for us, he's got Sanchez on the left and then he's competing with AoC, Walcott and Campbell on the right.

A constantly injured, not sure where he's actually going to play lad.
A bloke who can't get into the team over iwobi and Ramsey
And a lad who for some reason couldn't get into the first team if he scored 10 goals a game in preseason.

That's how my deluded mind is holding hope!

Reliable British journalist? It's unimportant you clearly do not understand this at all. I have stated where interest lies.
Don't worry everyone with fake knowledge behaves like this it's nothing new! But if you use the scattergun approach like the oracle you are bound to get one right every now and again! It's law of averages. So maybe marhez is en route.

Personally I hoped and still do hope a little bit this might be the summer we signed the players who would improve us to a level where next season the likes of Higguain Mahrez and such might take us seriously as an option where they could achieve things.
Surely improving on a partner for Kos isn't that difficult or is a more productive WR player than Theo and a better alternative to Olly, the bar isn't exactly set that high right now in those positions.
