So higuain goes today for £75 mil, we wouldn't pay £32mil 3 years ago. We still didn't win the league in that time, we never got a striker in that time, we have money in the coffers waiting for a bargain. How long will we wait for this "bargain" and will we get someone as good as higuain who will score the goals and be worth twice as much three years on.

Wenger you think you are good at figures, well you aren't good at seeing the world is moving on and investing in quality goods bring great returns on the pitch and to the clubs coffers. Bidding £ 29.3 mil for a 25 year old french forward who should be at west ham or Everton and can't get in the french squad ahead of our " bargain" giroud, pierre giniac or martial who is 21 if my memory is correct, is not taking this club forwards.

If people can't see the problems staring you straight in the face and can't accept the miserly goings on and the stubbornness to realise we are getting further down the food chain thanks to wenger and the board are blind. Why do i think wenger is holding us back, because in every way we woukd have been a better club, worth more money and probably nearer winning the league if he had bought highain. But he didnt.

We could have signed Aubameyang when he was in France for around 30million, we could have signed Draxler 2years back when he was at Schalke for 32million, and could have got Higuain for 23 million when he was at real Madrid. lol for our transfer policy.

Get it off your chest Steve! I've not heard you like this before. You seem upset mate.

26 Jul 2016 18:33:50
lacaztte is perfect for us.

26 Jul 2016 18:48:19
Top post Steve

Couldn't have put it better myself.

26 Jul 2016 18:55:41
Sano, i'm not upset, i'm pi $$£d mate, we all wonder why we fail, well its staring us straight in the face and still some people can't see it.

26 Jul 2016 18:57:37
Cry baby perfect if you don't want progress. The guy is not going to take us anywhere. But we aren't signing him anyway. So it doesn'treally matter a jot about lacazete.

26 Jul 2016 19:00:14
Plus crybaby my point was higuain not lacazett .

This season is a bit of a no lose situation for me because last March in decided I wasn't going to let this season get to me as I have previous seasons, at the time I resigned myself to the fact Arsene was going to do this season no matter what and there for it was highly likely to end as poorly as the last 10 have so it seemed pretty silly to allow my emotions to get the better of me yet again.
The empty seats against wba that visibly bothered Arsene plus the early Xhaka and Vardy attempted signing did make me at least consider that Arsene might actually try and go for it this season and finally do what needs to be done and who knows he still might but what ever happens this will the last groundhog day season for the Arsenal as we will have a new manager next season for sure no matter what Piers Morgan would like people to think.
I expect another uncompetitive season where our weaknesses are regularly on show for the pundits to repeatedly talk about yet again, anything more than that would be a lovely bonus. I still think the best case scenario for everyone is for the club to announce this is Arsenes last season in charge and let's turn it into celebration season.

26 Jul 2016 19:27:54
I think TFI will sign a new contract 62.

26 Jul 2016 19:41:16
I fail to see the logic in how vardy would be taking us forward as I remember you being ok with that deal albeit it being at a lower transfer fee. Vardy had one good season at Leicester lacazette is preforming back to back in our team you never know he could turn into the next aubemayang, benzema etc atleast wait until the end of the window, this page is getting depressing.

26 Jul 2016 20:09:48
The situation is pretty straight forward, Wenger will not in a million years sign a new contract unless by some small miracle we win the league and I don't believe in miracles, even the smallest ones.

He will be gone and not only will we find out how easy it will be to fill his shoes but whether it's he or the likes of Kroenke who determine what we spend.

I am not going to get bent out of shape about this season because there is little point. Wenger failed last summer to buy and will more than likely do likewise this season. He will, if that's the case, only have himself to blame.

The atmosphere at the Emirates will become truly toxic and further ensure he goes so stop flapping and chill out.

{Ed041's Note - fans have every right to vent RD, why should they accept this seasons failings because it's his last (which I don't think it will be)

26 Jul 2016 20:11:49
X X

Still waiting for this sensational signing you talked about

Is it soon?

26 Jul 2016 20:17:04
Lacazette is perfect for Arsenal.

He's big, strong, plays off defender's shoulder, has a decent first touch and knows where the net is.

He could be our Drogba.

26 Jul 2016 20:49:24
This page is getting ridiculous. There's so much we don't know. Who even knows if hiquain wanted to come. This isn't football manager. Seriously let's have some positive attitude.

26 Jul 2016 21:03:47
Dags he's goood not great and he's not coming anyway.

{Ed041's Note - I think he would do well for arsenal

26 Jul 2016 21:12:24
Simply ed because Everyman and his dog can predict what happens at Arsenal each and every summer under Wenger so why get so uptight, what's another 12 months after the last 12 years.

That said its a place to vent, I don't really care who says what but people seem to get so uptight over a game of football.

26 Jul 2016 21:14:29
Dags like austin and remy? . he's about as good as.

26 Jul 2016 21:11:08
Then we might as well go for that Yedder because no other striker is available, personally.

26 Jul 2016 21:13:55
Well said xhaka can.

26 Jul 2016 22:19:36
there's venting and then there's pissing and moaning every day. It's the same story and the same whinge. I'm with red dog on this. We all know the script and how it's been the same for years like you said but complete melt down is only going to lead to people needing more tampons. Just chill if you all know so badly how it is then why moan. It's like when people whine about the weather it ain't going to change let's look forward to the future and the future will come and like red dog said we will find out with the next manager what the crack is. And remember the oracle has already said its wengers last year 100% so rejoice boys 👍🏻.

26 Jul 2016 23:10:25
There's a better chance we will get yoda.

27 Jul 2016 07:30:37
Who's to say a new manager is going to loosen our purse strings maybe it's new owners we need who can compete financially I. e free spending what do you guys think?
