Although it looks like the club are happy to battle Liverpool Spurs and Leicester for 4th place rather than try to take on utd city and Chelsea I still can't help but wonder why Arsene stayed on for another year absolute certain discontent from the fans and yet more ridicule from the pundits.
I know it's not looking good right now but I do think we might yet another couple of decent players in between now and then.
I know some people will claim he stayed for the money and others he stayed because he is the only manage in the world who could make us top 4 but It makes absolutely no sense to me for him to see out yet another non competive horrible season without trying to avoid it.

to be fair G62, if I was taking home £8m a year, you could call me what you want.
It is a shame though, I've always said that if we tried and failed, I couldn't fault that, but so far we've barely tried and overwhelmingly failed.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for the gaffer, but we can't let past achievement overrule recent shortcomings, otherwise we may as well get Sol Campbell back for a 3rd spell to cover Per.
Arsene should of walked at the end of the 2014/ 15 season.
He'd be leaving with 2 Fa cup wins, a relative high.
Instead, unless we somehow win the league this season, he's going to leave as a bit of a has been.
Where a lot of fans, younger and older, will only talk about the last 10 years of mediocrity, which, some would argue is fair enough.

Couldn't agree more he should have gone with the fa cup in 2014.
I just can't see why he would need an extra £8 million in the bank at the expense of another year of utter ridicule from half the fans and all the media.
I personally think there are deals coming simply because it's the only thing that makes any sense of Arsene doing the season at all.
He doesn't strike me as a man motivated totally by his bank balance or do I feel he is immune to the empty seats and banners of last season that visibly upset him and like the rest of the world he must know if weren't capable of more than 71 points last season the same players ain't going to suddenly make 80 + this time round.
