Time to move on from Kante - I love Kante he's awesome, but we already went for Xhaka, we have Coquelin and Elneny, we don't need to spend £30 million on an DM. What we do need is a striker, clearly, if we don't sign a striker the club will have failed the fans in my view. To have one out and out striker in a club of arsenal's size and the amount of games we play (and the ticket prices) is a joke.
ps: not Higuain for 80 million though, that is crazy.

As you say, we already have defensive midfielders Coquelin and Elneny. We have signed Xhaka, who is a couple of years younger, adds more height to our defensive midfield than Kante and is probably on lower wages.
Reports coming through that Rob Holding is signing, so we will have signed; Xhaka, Holding and Asano, so I would expect us to sign one more player, a striker.
I believe we will sell or loan out: Szczesny, Debouchy, Jenkinson (when fit) , Campbell, Ox (I hope we keep him) , Zelalem, Sanogo and Akpom.

Is it possible Wenger wants to give Akpom a run-out and is not too stressed about a striker unless he gets the right one? Akpom has a lot of talent - should be at least as good as Rashford!
{Ed041's Note - what had he done to suggest he's anywhere near Rashford? Genuine question, does he perform well in the reserves?

He does not score as much but he seems powerful and FAST and not looked out of place - which would make him a good complement to Giroud, who as we have seen is not very fast.

To try and say akpom is as good as rashford or can be is rediculous. Akpom is knowhere near rashford, take off your rose coloured spex and have another look at what you are saying. Not knocking acpom by the way just the point you are making. The guy may end up being our saviour but he may also end up at Brentford. He not in the same league yet, not close.

I think we're all not mentioning it Sanogo mate simply because the Eds are volunteers and without them there's no site, so good for him and us
Its very similar to Vinny Jones becoming a Ref mate :-) best not to mention the horrible tackles he used to make and concentrate on the brilliant decisions he now makes in the middle :-)
