5 gamees of only being allowed 1 card is to long imo, some of the best MF and Defenders in the competition will miss the SF because of two mistakes in 450 minute's of football.

Agree g62. Happens time and time again. I remember Nedved missing the champions league final and he was outstanding that year, the most exciting player in the tournament by far. It deprived the game of someone and something special.
2 yellows in the group and three in the knockouts should be the way imo.

We all want to see players giving everything for their country challenging for every ball for 90 minutes in every game and in doing that not to expect more than one over enthusiastic tackle or heat of the moment reaction 7 and a half hours of passionate football is totally unrealistic IMO.
I'd say wipe all yellow cards after the group stages allowing for 2 before a ban in the last 16 QF SF and final its self.
