Soopergooner,
Earlier, you asked G62 "Why hasn't Stan Kroenke sacked Wenger for not delivering"?

Why would Kroenke sack Wenger?

Kroenke is a business man and he is only interested in making a profit on his investment.

Wenger continually makes a massive profit for Arsenal Football Club, he doesn't go knocking on the Chairman's door and admits he spends every penny "as if it's his own".

He spends frugally, swells the coffers, yet continually achieves top 4, which boosts revenue.

Basically, he makes a huge profit, whilst spending very little (in comparison) .

If you invested into AFC, executive or otherwise, would you want a manager sacked who continually makes you a huge profit on your investment?

Like G62 continually says, we are a cosy club. Maximum profit with minimal expectation is a "winning season".

Sad but true.

Not only why would he sack a manger who makes him millions Dags but why would he sack a manager who makes him millions and upset all your customers who pay those millions by sacking the manager the customers insist is the only manager they want.
The club keep offering the money for new players but the manager keeps refusing to spend it and the fans keep blaming the club and excusing the manager and the only thing that makes it all work out OK is the people who get the blame also get richer despite trying not to every summer :-)
You give your missus £200 to buy food and she comes home with £200 and no food, if you take matters into your own hands and do the shopping the misus will leave you and the kids will hate you for making Mumm leave so keep the £200, who's fault is it the kids go hungry? But still they chose to blame you and not mum? Its not fair I know but atleast you've got £200 in your pocket to go for a nice meal yourself and then go to the pub so it ain't all bad news :-)

Dags G62. You've both agreed with my point.

I was trying to say that Kroenke sets the agenda and targets and questioning why he hasn't sacked Wenger for not delivering against those targets.

Wenger has delivered a couple of trophies but his main delivery has been profits and cash

Therefore Kroenke must setting business led targets rather than silverware led

This suggests that whatever the board says they are not allowing Wenger to spend and therefore the blame for the current stagnation is not only to be laid at wengers door but also at the board and ultimately kroenkes door

the club needs change but this has to start with Kroenke moving on so a new owner can set some silverware targets for Wenger to be judged against.

Just last week Arsene said himself ' I don't understand why the fans are unhappy, we play good football and are not trying to avoid relegation '
To me sooper mate those words do not suggest Arsene is on the same page as anyone at Arsenal fans or players and it's highly unlikely the board either.

I don't think there is any point in thinking kroenke will sell unless its market value begins to fall and he gets out while still profiting.

The sad thing is under his direction we will be a stagnant risk averse club. i'm certain the board will look for another Wenger after Arsene goes. Someone who keeps us in the profit belt without large investment.

Galway you are spot on.

Ultimately Kroenke is the boss and he decides the strategy for the club and then sets the agenda

You can replace Wenger with anyone and Kroenke will focus them on the business side of things. Trophies will always be a lower priority than cash generation

It therefore follows that until Kroenke is gone it doesn't matter who is the manager because cash will remain King

The club is stagnant and the cause of that is Kroenke. Change has to start with him bexayse nothing will change whilst he owns the club

I just don't get why people don't get it lol.

Haven't we heard before that he guarantees his loans in the States against the cash and cashflow of the Ars?
